Idea : HOW TO STOP FACEBOOK FAKE ACCOUNTS

HOW TO STOP FACEBOOK FAKE ACCOUNTS

Now a days you can see many fake accounts in Facebook, Facebook team can implement the below idea to stop fake accounts

How this Idea came up in my Mind

I am interested in working with Facebook, but unfortunately i don't know how to approach the Facebook team

Assumed got an offer from Facebook and thinking in a direction in which way i can improve or enhance the security features of Facebook

Problem statement :  Facebook has many fake accounts

Solution :

Government of India Introduced Aadhaar in 2009

Aadhaar is a 12 digit unique-identity number issued to all Indian residents based on their biometric and demographic data.

By Linking Aadhaar with Facebook accounts we can stop fake accounts easily

Now-a-days Government of India is linking Mobile Phone number ,  bank accounts , LPG and IT returns with Aadhaar

so by linking Facebook accounts with Aadhaar we can reduce Fake accounts

I think this idea changes the Face of Facebook

By implementing this idea Facebook will get Original Information (Name of Person, Age, interests )

WPF Development Tools

Microsoft provides two development tools for WPF applications. One is Visual Studio, made for developers and the other is Expression Blend made for designers. While Visual Studio is good in code and XAML editing, it has a rare support for all the graphical stuff like gradients, template editing, animation, etc. This is the point where Expression Blend comes in. Blend covers the graphical part very well but it has (still) rare support for code and XAML editing.
So the conclusion is that you will need both of them.

Microsoft Visual Studio 2010

Visual Studio is the tool for developers to develop WPF applications. It includes a graphical designer for WPF since version 2008. If you're using Visual Studio 2005 you can install an add-on that enables you to develop WPF applications.
Microsoft provides a free Express Edition of Visual Studio that also includes the WPF designer. You can download it from the following URL
Download Microsoft Visual C# 2010 - Express Edition

Microsoft Expression Blend 3 + Sketch Flow

Expression Blend is the tool for designers. It's part of the Expression Studio, a new tool suite from Microsoft especially created for user experience designers. Blend covers all the missing features of the Visual Studio designer like styling, templating, animations, 3D graphics, resources and gradients.
In the latest Version it also includes a powerful prototyping tool called SketchFlow. Expression Blend can open solution files created by visual studio.

Introduction to WPF

Overview

The Windows Presentation Foundation is Microsofts next generation UI framework to create applications with a rich user experience. It is part of the .NET framework 3.0 and higher.
WPF combines application UIs, 2D graphics, 3D graphics, documents and multimedia into one single framework. Its vector based rendering engine uses hardware acceleration of modern graphic cards. This makes the UI faster, scalable and resolution independent.

Separation of Appearance and Behavior

WPF separates the appearance of an user interface from its behavior. The appearance is generally specified in the Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML), the behavior is implemented in a managed programming language like C# or Visual Basic. The two parts are tied together by databinding, events and commands. The separation of appearance and behavior brings the following benefits:
  • Appearance and behaviour are loosely coupled
  • Designers and developers can work on separate models.
  • Graphical design tools can work on simple XML documents instead of parsing code.

Rich composition

Controls in WPF are extremely composable. You can define almost any type of controls as content of another. Although these flexibility sounds horrible to designers, its a very powerful feature if you use it appropriate. Put an image into a button to create an image button, or put a list of videos into a combobox to choose a video file.

Highly customizable

Because of the strict separation of appearance and behavior you can easily change the look of a control. The concept of styles let you skin controls almost like CSS in HTML. Templates let you replace the entire appearance of a control.
The following example shows an default WPF button and a customized button.

All measures in WPF are logical units - not pixels. A logical unit is a 1/96 of an inch. If you increase the resolution of your screen, the user interface stays the same size - it just gets crispier. Since WPF builds on a vector based rendering engine it's incredibly easy to build scaleable user interfaces.

Now you have a new icon on your desktop. Let's customize it some more.

Right-click the new icon and select properties.
In the dialog box that opens up, click change icon.
You may see a warning message that shutdown.exe contains no icons, just click ok if you see this
Choose a new icon
You are now ready to test your new Windows XP shutdown button. Make sure to close all applications and double-click your new icon to shutdown your computer.

Once the shutdown mechanism is started, there is only one way to stop your machine from going down. That's what the next part is all about.

working with files

Working with Files
• To rename several files at once, select all of them in any folder view, or in the Windows Explorer, rename the FIRST one in the list, and the rest will follow.

• To turn off filenames, hold down the Shift key when you click to open a folder in Windows Explorer or when you switch into thumbnail view. This will turn of the file names, giving more space for the thumbnails. Doing it again turns them back on.

• Try grouping your files. In the top menu bar select View – Arrange icons by… - Type, and then View – Arrange icons by… - Show in groups.

You can change the size and quality of the shell's thumbnails. Start regedit, expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER (only for you) or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (for all the users in this computer) and in Software – Microsoft – Windows – CurrentVersion – Explorer, add or modify the following entries:

• ThumbnailSize – Double Word, decimal value between 32 and 256

• ThumbnailQuality – Double Word, decimal value between 50 and 100

Disable the Turn off computer button on the Welcome screen

Disable the Turn off computer button on the Welcome screen

By default, the Microsoft Windows XP logon screen displays a Turn off computer button. This display seems convenient, until one of your kids happens to shut down your computer and close all your programs. To prevent this from happening, you can disable the Turn off computer button. You can still shut down your computer; you just have to log on with a computer administrator account first.

To disable the Turn off computer button on the Welcome screen

1.
Log on to your computer as an administrator. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2.
Click Performance and Maintenance.

3.
Click Administrative Tools.

4.
Double-click Local Security Policy.

5.
Expand Local Policies by clicking the plus sign next to it, and then click Security Options.

6.
In the right pane, double-click the Shutdown: Allow system to be shut down without having to log on policy.

7.
Click Disabled, and then click OK.

Windows XP removes the Turn off computer button from the Welcome screen—so no more shutting down without logging on!

Help save energy and the environment by putting your monitor to sleep

Help save energy and the environment by putting your monitor to sleep

You can save electricity and reduce your impact on the environment by activating your monitor’s sleep feature in Microsoft Windows XP. Activating sleep settings on just one computer may prevent considerable CO2 emissions each year. Letting your monitor sleep allows it to go into a low-power mode when you’re not using it. To wake your monitor, you simply touch your mouse or keyboard.

To set Windows XP to automatically turn your monitor off when your computer isn’t being used

1.
Right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.

2.
In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Screen Saver tab. Then, click the Power button.

3.
In the Power Options Properties dialog box, click the Turn off monitor list, and select a time to automatically turn off your monitor. Five minutes is a realistic setting. If you have a portable computer, set the time for both Plugged in and Running on batteries.

4.
Click OK twice.

Windows XP will let your monitor sleep after your computer has been idle for the specified number of minutes. To reactivate your monitor, move your mouse, or press a key. You’ll save almost as much power as if you had manually turned your monitor off, but you won’t have to press your monitor’s power button.
